Primary Responsibilities
Attorney time entry and editing pre-bills.
Creating, revising, and formatting legal documents.
Preparing expense reports, check requests, and new business memos. Mailings and creation of binders.
Entering contacts and maintaining electronic files.
Assisting with travel arrangements and scheduling meetings. Conducting research as needed.
Providing back-up coverage for other Legal Support Specialists. Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS degree.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal/administrative or professional setting.
Professional organized self-starter with the ability to interact with attorneys, staff and clients at all levels in a fast-paced, challenging legal work environment.
Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong technical skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 lbs at a time.
Washington, DC pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $55,000 to $65,000.
