Your Impact
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to help patients safely regain mobility and confidence.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Accurately document treatments and patient progress
- Communicate effectively with PTs, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and physicians
- Help patients achieve meaningful functional goals and improve their quality of life
We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Michigan PTA license (or eligible for licensure)
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Experience in Skilled Nursing (SNF), Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, Home Health, or Outpatient is welcomed but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
