Who They Are
We're partnered with the $30M lumber division of a $1B privately held, family-owned building materials distributor that's growing quickly across Florida. They're looking to add an experienced Alpine Truss Designer to help keep up with demand. Ideally, this person is already designing Florida projects and can work remotely, but they're open to top designers outside the state with the right tenure & experience.
What You'll Do
- Utilize Alpine Software to interpret blueprints and design roof and floor truss systems
- Produce accurate layouts for a diverse mix of single-family and high end custom residential projects
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and the production plant to ensure timely, accurate project execution
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a strong backlog of design work, allowing you to ramp up quickly
What You'll Need
- 4+ years designing roof and floor truss systems using Alpine software
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
- Familiarity with Florida building codes (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Located in Florida, or within the EDT/CDT time zones with the ability to support the Florida market
