Job Summary

The Automation Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. supports the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and processes, contributing to efficiency and innovation across manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, and other control systems.
* Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of automation equipment.
* Participate in troubleshooting and debugging automation systems to identify and resolve issues.
* Document automation processes, schematics, and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing workflows.
* Conduct basic data analysis to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Adhere to safety protocols and company standards in all automation activities.
* Learn and apply new automation technologies and methodologies.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
* Familiarity with industrial robotics principles and operation.
* Knowledge of control systems, sensors, and actuators.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Prior internship or project experience in automation is advantageous.
