We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career team at Mercer. This role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As an integral member of the consulting team, this role will effectively support our executive compensation consulting business, with opportunities to gain exposure to other consulting areas.
We will count on you to:
- Participate/ lead small to mid-sized consulting projects based on different client needs.
- Participate in developing client presentations and deliverables. Work closely with the team to determine ways to fine tune reports and presentations based on clients’ needs.
- Utilize Mercer’s proprietary consulting tools and public information to gather executive pay data, rewards practices and policies. Understand and provide insights to clients across different aspects of Executive Compensation.
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and draw meaningful conclusions. Advanced data analysis could be needed, using Microsoft Excel modeling or other statistical modeling tools.
- Proactively support the team in maintaining and developing client base for the business. Activities include active communication with existing clients, prospecting new clients via events, calls and meetings, following up closely on leads, etc.
- Perform external research to understand specific industry trends, company news and competitor landscape.
- Manage the team and proactively provide support in coaching, peer review, brainstorming of solutions and various project tasks as needed.
- Partner with other divisions to advise or deliver workable solutions on HR issues.
What you need to have:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in executive compensation, total rewards, management consulting, finance, human resources or accounting preferred
- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative and a solid background in Excel.
- Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs.
- Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese is a must. Mandarin would be an added advantage.
