Description
This has approval to turn into a full-time, direct hire role after a contract period. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future. Role is 4 days/week onsite and remote on Fridays in El Segundo, CA.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner - AI to join our client partner's Global Technology Organization (GTO). You will play a pivotal role in the development and adoption of an Enterprise-wide AI Strategy that aligns with our client's business objectives. This is a position that requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, a customer centric mindset, and strong leadership skills. You will leverage your deep technical skills on various AI technologies, frameworks, and trends to assess and develop AI solutions for our client's needs. You will collaborate and act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and key stakeholders across Product Development, Supply Chain and Brand Management, etc. to understand their pain points and adopt AI products. You provide thought leadership to establish the guidelines, optimize processes and communicate our client's AI strategy.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Align and manage organization wide AI product development. Measure and communicate business value delivered through various AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their needs through ideation sessions, hackathons etc. and prioritize use cases to adopt AI technologies.
- Lead insight gathering, ideation, and development into newer AI-powered business models, and successfully champion them through senior management and cross-functional teams for approval and endorsement.
- Establish Responsible AI Principles and guardrails for our client by collaborating with Industry thought leaders and practitioners as well as internal Legal and security compliance teams.
- Work with Technology Leaders and teams to develop AI products and ensure adoption.
- Evangelize and educate internal teams to upskill on emerging AI technologies, industry trends etc through internal courses, masterclasses etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with leading AI practitioners, universities, and industry organizations.
What We're Looking For:
- 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree.
- Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field/MBA/PhD preferred.
- Experience in building and scaling platforms and capabilities leveraging Generative and Agentic AI for Enterprises.
- Significant understanding of use of AI in business domain including ML fundamentals and familiarity with algorithm work.
- Proven leadership experience of developing products in a multidisciplinary cross-functional environment.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
