Description
Our client, a growing Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to their expanding Accounting & Finance team. This individual will play an integral role in maintaining the company's financial integrity through complex accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and research while supporting the continued growth and evolution of the accounting department. This is a fully remote opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close schedules.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while analyzing account variances and ensuring financial data is balanced and accurate.
- Assist with statutory financial reporting, regulatory filings, and other accounting compliance requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.
- Analyze financial data and prepare supporting reports for management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting-related issues and improve financial processes.
Requirements

3-5+ years of accounting experience.

Property & Casualty insurance accounting experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Salary & Benefits
- $85,000–$95,000+ annual base salary (depending on experience)
