Looking for a role where you get variety in your day and be part of a high performing team? We’re on the hunt for a Freight Handler to join our Invercargill branch!
Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.
Shift: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
About the role - Mō te tūranga
This isn’t just a standard role - you’ll have the opportunity to have variation in your day and will be doing a mix of driving and sorting freight. No two days are the same – it’s fast-paced, physical work where teamwork is key.
Key duties:
- Load and unload freight safely by hand, or with forklift when required
- Ensure freight is handled without damage
- Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
- Maintain good working relationships.
- Communicate effectively within a team environment
What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?
- Clean Full NZ Class 1 License – must have
- Forklift License with OSH cert – must have
- Clean Class 2 license - ideal
- Dangerous Good Endorsement – ideal
- Customer-focused attitude
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Experience driving on New Zealand roads
