Role: Assembler
Location: Blackpool, FY4 4NW
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 07:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday
Hourly rate: between £18.43 and £19.10 DOE
Build something you can see take shape.
We’re looking for an Assembler to join our Production team at Dennis Eagle in Blackpool.
If you have hands-on experience in assembly, fitting, production or manufacturing and enjoy practical work where quality matters, this could be a great next step.
You’ll help build vehicle cabs to individual specifications, fitting everything from mechanical and electrical components to interiors, seating, lighting, glazing and dashboards. You’ll work as part of a supportive production team, following clear build instructions to make sure every cab is completed safely and to the right standard.
What you’ll be doing
-
Building vehicle cabs to individual specifications and work instructions.
-
Assembling and fitting mechanical, electrical and interior components.
-
Using hand tools, power tools and production equipment safely.
-
Fitting components such as wiring, lighting, dashboards, seating, glazing and interior trim.
-
Checking your work throughout the build to make sure it meets our quality standards.
-
Spotting and reporting any missing parts, defects or build issues.
-
Keeping accurate production and quality records.
-
Working with colleagues to keep production moving smoothly.
-
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need a particular formal qualification if you can demonstrate the practical skills needed for the role.
We’d like you to have:
-
Experience in assembly, fitting, production or manufacturing.
-
Experience using hand tools and/or power tools safely.
-
Some experience fitting mechanical, electrical, interior or similar components.
-
An understanding of safe working practices within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
-
The ability to follow written, visual and verbal instructions accurately.
-
A careful approach to quality and attention to detail.
-
The ability to work effectively with others and adapt across different assembly tasks.
Experience working with build instructions or digital production systems, or knowledge of 5S and takt-based production, would be useful but isn’t essential.
This is a practical role where you can see the results of your work. You’ll be contributing directly to the build of our vehicle cabs while developing your experience across a variety of assembly tasks.
