Repsol is hiring a Sustaining Facilities & Construction Sr. Supervisor to support the Eagle Ford Asset within the Unconventional Business Unit. This is role is based on site from our field office in Three Rivers, Texas.


Position Title: Sustaining Facilities & Construction Sr. Supervisor (exempt)

Department: Unconventional Business Unit

Reports to: Execution Manager

Location: Onsite, Three Rivers, TX office & field operations in Eagle Ford region.


Position Overview


The Sustaining Facilities & Construction Sr. Supervisor provides field leadership for the safe planning, execution, and delivery of sustaining capital projects, facility upgrades, maintenance-related construction, and infrastructure improvements across the Eagle Ford Asset. This role is accountable for completing work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, approved budgets, and established schedules.

 

The position serves as the primary field leader for construction execution and works closely with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Supply Chain, Land, Regulatory, Drilling & Completions, and construction contractors. The Sr. Supervisor is expected to promote safe leadership, integrated teamwork, operational discipline, and continuous improvement while maintaining strong visibility in the field.


Key Responsibilities


Project Management, Construction & Execution

  • Lead sustaining capital and brownfield facility projects from planning through mechanical completion, commissioning support, and turnover.
  • Manage construction activities across key asset infrastructure, including:
    • Oil, gas, and water gathering systems
    • Production facilities and tank batteries
    • Compression facilities
    • Pipeline gathering systems
    • Grid power application for wellsite facilities
    • Instrumentation, controls, and automation systems
  • Infrastructure improvements
  • Coordinate project execution with Operations to minimize production disruptions and maintain safe operations.
  • Review construction work packages, drawings, specifications, schedules, and contractor execution plans.
  • Participate in scope development, constructability reviews, project planning, and cost estimating activities.
  • Ensure project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are clearly defined, monitored, and achieved.
  • Support commissioning, startup, mechanical completion, and turnover activities.

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Demonstrate visible and engaged safety leadership throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Promote a culture built upon accountability, teamwork, respect, and operational discipline.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Construction Coordinators, Inspectors, Contractors, and field support personnel.
  • Foster collaboration between Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Supply Chain, and Contractor organizations.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned programs.
  • Maintain a strong field presence through routine site visits, audits, inspections, and workforce engagement.

 

Contractor Management

  • Monitor contractor safety, productivity, quality, schedule adherence, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Conduct contractor kickoff meetings, performance reviews, and routine field audits.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with company standards, specifications, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hold contractors accountable for safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and execution performance.

 

 Safety, Environment & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with all company Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) requirements.
  • Lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Pre-Task Planning, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work compliance activities with the F&C teams.
  • Participate in incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure environmental protection measures are incorporated into project execution activities.
  • Coordinate with HSE personnel to maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company standards.

 

Quality Assurance & Reliability

  • Ensure construction activities meet approved engineering designs, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Verify required inspections, pressure testing, welding documentation, and quality records are properly completed.
  • Support facility integrity programs and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain construction records, turnover documentation, punch lists, and as-built drawings.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve asset reliability, maintainability, and operational performance.

The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of applicable industry requirements that govern oil and gas construction, facility operations, pipeline systems, electrical work, instrumentation, automation, and sour service environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Full U.S. work authorization without restrictions, conditions, or current/future sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive oil and gas facilities and construction experience. 10 or more years of supervisory or field leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sustaining capital projects and brownfield facility modifications.
  • Experience supporting production facilities, pipelines, compression systems, water infrastructure, and automation systems.
  • Proven contractor management and multi-discipline project execution experience.

Candidate Profile


The ideal candidate is an experienced oil and gas construction and facilities professional with a proven track record of safely executing sustaining capital projects, facility upgrades, brownfield modifications, and infrastructure improvement initiatives within an active operating environment. They have extensive field leadership experience managing construction activities across production facilities, gathering systems, compression, pipelines, electrical infrastructure, and automation systems while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, operational reliability, and cost control.


Successful candidates come from upstream production, facilities construction, project execution, midstream operations, or capital projects organizations and have progressed through roles such as Construction Superintendent, Facilities Supervisor, Construction Manager, Project Execution Supervisor, Capital Projects Supervisor, or Field Operations Leader. They are recognized for their ability to lead contractor organizations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.,


This individual is a visible safety leader who thrives in the field, builds strong relationships across the organization, and drives accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout all phases of project execution.
