Your day at NTT DATA
The cross-functional services engineer, specialist or architect supports services that span multiple technical towers or require coordinated delivery across infrastructure, cloud, security, database, network and platform teams.
The role provides end-to-end ownership for incidents, changes and service improvements that cannot be resolved effectively within one technology tower.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate technical work across multiple infrastructure and platform teams.
- Investigate incidents with dependencies across several technology domains.
- Maintain end-to-end visibility of technical risks, actions and service impact.
- Support complex changes, migrations and service-transition activities.
- Ensure that cross-domain responsibilities and escalation paths are clear.
- Review proposed solutions for operational readiness and supportability.
- Identify systemic issues and lead cross-tower corrective actions.
- Develop integrated runbooks, support models and technical documentation.
- Improve collaboration, automation and handover between technology towers.
- Support major incidents and complex client escalations.
- At senior levels, lead service integration and technical-governance activities.
- At L5, define cross-technology architecture and service-integration principles.

Relevant certifications
- ITIL.
- TOGAF for architecture-oriented positions.
- Relevant cloud or infrastructure certification.
- SIAM certification where applicable.
