Curriculum Coordinator – Graphic Design & Digital Art – Hayes, Hillingdon – Permanent Opportunity
Are you an experienced Art & Design or Graphic Design Teacher looking to take the next step into curriculum leadership?
A specialist media academy in Hayes, Hillingdon is looking for a creative and ambitious teacher to coordinate its Graphic Design & Digital Art curriculum, alongside teaching students across Key Stage 4 and Post-16.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a subject, support colleagues and help young designers build portfolios through real industry briefs, creative projects and exhibitions.

Role and Responsibilities
-
Teach engaging Graphic Design & Digital Art lessons across Key Stage 4 and Post-16
-
Develop students’ skills in design software, typography, illustration and branding
-
Coordinate the curriculum, schemes of work, assessment materials and teaching resources
-
Lead standardisation and internal moderation, ensuring awarding body requirements are met
-
Support colleagues through shared practice, constructive feedback and subject-specific CPD
-
Organise exhibitions, portfolio reviews and showcases that celebrate students’ work
-
Connect learning to real design briefs and campaigns, and lead a student creative enterprise project
-
Act as a tutor, supporting students’ attendance, wellbeing and progress
Person Specification
-
Qualified teacher with a strong track record in Art & Design or Graphic Design
-
Strong subject knowledge across graphic design, digital art and relevant course specifications
-
Confident using industry-standard design software
-
Experience of curriculum planning, assessment and moderation
-
Some experience of leading or coordinating work within a team
-
An excellent classroom practitioner who can support and develop colleagues
-
Organised, creative and confident coordinating exhibitions and student portfolios

Commitment to inclusive teaching, high expectations and safeguarding
