Technology Applications Specialist
Help shape the technology that supports the delivery of exceptional radiology services.
About the Role
IDX is seeking an experienced Technology Applications Specialist to join our team and provide specialist expertise across our clinical applications environment.
Reporting to the Technology Applications – Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the administration, configuration, testing and ongoing support of our radiology applications. Working closely with radiologists, application vendors, IT teams and other internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure our systems and workflows operate effectively and continue to meet the needs of the business.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, building strong stakeholder relationships and using technology to improve clinical workflows.
You'll bring your knowledge of PACS and radiology environments to help us optimise existing applications, support integrations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement as we continue to evolve the way radiology services are delivered.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Work with stakeholders to identify, analyse and implement opportunities for improvement
- Provide clinical applications expertise, configuration, testing and ongoing application support
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, workflow and application issues
- Assist with Radiologist onboarding, training sessions and demo’s for staff
- Deliver timely and high-quality support and resolutions for all incidents and service requests recorded in the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Monitor application performance and help maintain reliable clinical workflows
- Liaise with application vendors to resolve issues and ensure quality service delivery
- Work collaboratively with internal IT teams, radiologists and operational stakeholders
- Assist with maintaining, testing and validating radiology applications
- Support effective workflows and continuous improvement, with the creation of user guides and multimedia resources
About You
We're looking for a collaborative and solutions-focused professional who combines strong technical capability with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Demonstrated Radiology Applications experience and knowledge
- Previous experience working within a radiology environment, either in the private or public sector
- A strong understanding of radiology workflows and the interaction between RIS, PACS and HL7
- Experience supporting, maintaining, monitoring, testing and validating clinical or radiology applications
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies and products
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in customer relationship management, project management and/or quality assurance
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience providing high-quality support to end users across different levels of an organisation
- The ability to communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders, vendors and clinical teams
