JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Director, the Manager, Financial Systems & Corporate Reporting provides regional leadership and direction in the support and maintenance of key financial systems and in ensuring that Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) including Providence Health Care (PHC) meets its legislative and business reporting requirements. Responsibilities include accountability for the development and review of reporting standards, management of related databases, development of new concepts and methodologies for data management, and leading multiple projects and business process improvement activities. He/she is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of information and reporting processes including justification of results to key partners. The Manager is the key liaison for VCH Financial Services with the Ministry of Health (MOH), and other health authorities, VCH Data and Analytics and with other internal department leaders on these related matters to the portfolio. The Manager provides direct leadership and guidance to Coordinators, Analysts and support services. This work is framed within VCH’s commitments to our pillars of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary Health.QUALIFICATIONS:Qualifications:Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA) supplemented by related information systems courses, plus a minimum of six (6) years of recent, related experience, including a minimum three (3) years in a management position within a large organization with an emphasis on financial systems and reporting. Extensive experience with complex financial computer systems, project planning and control are essential.
