Job Description

As a Security Officer Identity Screening Full Time in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Your professionalism, communication skills, and customer-focused approach will help support smooth operations while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, freight, and other items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, docks, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
