Course Title: Specialized Topics in Law 11 - Tax Litigation Seminar

Location: Chancellor Day Hall


The focus of this year's seminar is tax disputes and tax litigation. It will examine a range of topics: the nature of the tax system, audits and assessments, rights of administrative contestation, settlements, collection and judicial appeals and judicial review. The role of oral and written advocacy skills will be examined. Contributors having particular expertise in this area of tax practice will "guest" on a periodic basis.


Please note that this course will be allocated to a member using an exemption as per article 15.03.03 of the MCLIU collective agreement.


TQR: At a minimum, a first degree in law. Several years of significant practice or professional experience, in the relevant area; Experience in teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual setting.
