We are looking for
Senior Accountant, Flight Sales Accounting
to join our Order to Cash team in Finnair Business Services, Tartu, Estonia.
In this role, you will combine hands-on accounting work with team coordination and process development, helping us deliver high-quality accounting services accurately and on schedule.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the team's daily operations, guiding colleagues and driving continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the daily work of the Flight Sales Accounting team
- Guide team members in resolving accounting exceptions and operational issues
- Participate in month-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of reporting tasks
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for stakeholders
- Monitor workflow and support resource planning together with the Team Lead
- Mentor new colleagues and provide ongoing support and knowledge sharing within the team
- Review, update, and develop work instructions and process documentation
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in development projects related to flight sales accounting and finance operations.
You will succeed if you have:
- Experience in accounting, finance or a related field
- A vocational qualification or Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or a similar discipline
- Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
- The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting, coaching or guiding colleagues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Confidence working with financial and IT systems and the ability to learn new tools quickly
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
