Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Principal Facilities Engineer to oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities system are safe and well functioning. Ideally you will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee facilities installation, refurbishment, expansion, and improvement projects covering mechanical, electrical, building, and utility systems.
- Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of critical facilities infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, mechanical systems, utilities, and building services.
- Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and building infrastructure to identify maintenance, repair, improvement, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and analyze utilities consumption and implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency and optimize operating costs.
- Support facilities infrastructure design, capacity planning, upgrades, and expansion to meet current and future manufacturing requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation related to facilities projects and modifications.
- Develop and manage project schedules, priorities, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered safely and effectively.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors, service providers, and vendors to ensure work is completed according to technical, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure contractors comply with site safety requirements and applicable company procedures while performing work on-site.
- Maintain facilities records, maintenance logs, technical documentation, compliance records, and relevant statutory documentation.
- Prepare facilities performance reports, technical analysis, forecasts, and project updates for management.
- Support budgeting, cost management, service contracts, and facilities-related expenditure planning.
- Ensure facilities operations comply with applicable safety, environmental, building, and regulatory requirements, including relevant DOE, DOSH, and OSHA requirements.
- Ensure proper management and disposal of scheduled waste and other waste materials in accordance with applicable environmental and safety requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and task coordination to facilities engineers, technicians, and other team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facilities reliability, safety, efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience as a Facilities Engineer, Senior Facilities Engineer, Facilities Manager, or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of facilities engineering operations, maintenance practices, and critical manufacturing infrastructure.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical utilities, electrical distribution, and building services.
- Experience supporting manufacturing facility expansion, infrastructure upgrades, equipment installation, and facilities improvement projects.
- Knowledge of BFO or relevant competency would be an advantage.
- High Voltage Chargeman competency or other relevant electrical competency would be an advantage.
- Relevant DOE/DOSH Competent Person certification or other recognized professional qualification would be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance, contractor management, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good project management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Operations, EHS, contractors, and external authorities.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to guide and coordinate engineers, technicians, contractors, and service providers.
