Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Corporate Building Standing Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients at a commercial real estate location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications; maintain a professional presence that supports a welcoming environment for the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
