Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and use technology to document activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology and semiconductor manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate access-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
