RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, including job posting, sourcing, applicant review, screening, interviewing, selection support, offer preparation, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding coordination in accordance with established Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position responsibilities, required qualifications, and the skills and attributes needed for success.
• Develops effective sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, professional networks, employee referrals, community partnerships, educational institutions, and other recruiting channels.
• Builds and maintains candidate pipelines for frequently recruited, specialized, and anticipated positions.
• Conducts phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to assess candidates' experience, qualifications, communication, service orientation, judgment, adaptability, and alignment with Sun East's culture and values.
• Coordinates interviews and maintains timely communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the selection process.
• Guides hiring managers on interviewing practices, candidate evaluation, selection decisions, and applicable recruitment procedures.
• Prepares and extends employment offers after receiving approval of HR Management in accordance with approved compensation guidelines and coordinates required pre-employment activities.
• Partners with Human Resources team members and department leaders to support a smooth transition from candidate selection through new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Maintains accurate and timely applicant tracking records, candidate documentation, position status information, and required recruitment files.
• Monitors recruitment activity, time-to-fill, candidate sources, hiring outcomes, and other relevant metrics; identifies opportunities to improve recruiting effectiveness and the candidate experience.
• Creates, analyzes, and provides reports, metrics, and workforce-related information to management to support staffing, Human Resources initiatives, and business decisions.
• Acts as a Sun East brand ambassador by participating in career fairs, hiring events, networking opportunities, community activities, and educational partnerships.
• Develops and maintains relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools, workforce development organizations, community groups, and professional associations.
• Support talent pipeline and workforce development initiatives as assigned.
• Collaborates with Marketing and other partners, as appropriate, on recruitment campaigns, career content, social media outreach, and employment branding materials.
• Ensures recruiting and selection activities are consistent, well documented, and conducted in accordance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and Sun East practices.
• Maintains the confidentiality of applicant, employee, and organizational information.
• Stays current on recruiting trends, sourcing methods, talent market conditions, and employment-related requirements.
• Supports Human Resources projects, employee engagement efforts, workforce planning activities, and other department initiatives as needed.
• Serves as a backup for Human Resources team members as needed and assists with departmental responsibilities during absences, workload fluctuations, special projects, and business needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT EXPECTATIONS

• Completes training required for the position and seeks additional development opportunities that strengthen recruiting and Human Resources knowledge.
• Participates in community involvement activities.
• Understands and complies with all applicable state and federal regulations and laws. Ensures compliance with all governing regulations, especially Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Bank Secrecy Act knowledge will be determined by the employee's position and responsibility.
• Maintains awareness of Sun East products, services, departments, culture, and employment practices to accurately represent the organization to candidates and community partners.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is generally sedentary and may require extended periods of sitting, along with occasional standing and walking. The employee must be able to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment; communicate effectively in person and through electronic channels; and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds. The position requires occasional local travel to Sun East locations, career fairs, schools, community events, and networking activities. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Three to five years of full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or related Human Resources experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting within a credit union, banking, financial services, regulated, or service-oriented environment preferred.
• Experience recruiting for positions across multiple business functions, including branch operations, lending, contact center, accounting, information technology, compliance, and corporate support departments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop candidate pipelines through sourcing, networking, community outreach, educational partnerships, and relationship-building activities.
• Experience participating in career fairs, hiring events, , and community engagement initiatives preferred.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, online sourcing tools, job boards, and social media recruiting platforms.
• Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and selection skills.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, recruiting practices, and talent acquisition processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to establish credibility and serve as a trusted recruiting partner to managers and leaders throughout the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple openings, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Ability to use sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Ability to analyze recruiting activity and recommend practical process improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, or another recruiting or Human Resources certification preferred.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service to candidates, employees, hiring managers, and community partners.
