Associate Director – Electrical Engineering (Data Centres & Mission Critical)

Our client is a leading international engineering consultancy as part of their continued growth across Europe, they are looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director – Electrical Engineering to support the delivery 
of major hyperscale and mission-critical projects while helping strengthen and develop the electrical engineering capability within their Paris office. 
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced electrical engineering leader looking to combine technical excellence with project leadership, client engagement, team development, and strategic influence. 

The Opportunity 
As Associate Director, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex electrical infrastructure across some of the most technically demanding projects in the market. 
You will provide technical leadership and assurance across resilient power systems, critical electrical infrastructure, and multidisciplinary engineering projects while supporting client relationships, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the continued growth of the business. 
This position offers a clear pathway for experienced electrical engineering professionals looking to expand their influence beyond pure technical delivery and into broader project, people, and client leadership responsibilities. 

Key Responsibilities 
• Provide senior technical leadership across complex Data Centre and Mission Critical projects. 
• Lead technical assurance activities and electrical design reviews. 
• Support the delivery and coordination of electrical engineering work throughout the project lifecycle. 
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and project stakeholders. 
• Drive collaboration across electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, BIM, and specialist engineering teams. 
• Support project planning, resource management, and delivery objectives. 
• Mentor and develop engineers across the electrical team. 
• Promote technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
• Contribute to the development of engineering standards, quality processes, and best practices. 
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting the growth of the Paris office. 

Essential Experience 
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. 
• Strong experience delivering complex engineering projects within: Data Centres, Mission Critical Facilities, Building Services, Power Infrastructure, and Engineering Consultancy environments. 

Proven expertise across:  
• HV/LV Distribution 
• Critical Power Infrastructure 
• Electrical Resilience Strategies 
• Power Systems Design 
• Backup Power Solutions 
• Mission Critical Environments 
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating project stakeholders. 
• Strong technical review and technical assurance capabilities.
