The Analyst supports Private Investment Operations across multiple products, global markets and jurisdictions. The role provides middle-office support throughout the investment lifecycle for private credit, leveraged finance, fund investments, co-investments, separately managed accounts (SMAs) and other alternative investment structures, including transaction settlement, loan and fund administration, capital activity processing, valuation support, fee administration, reconciliations, reporting and control execution.

Working with investment teams, external managers, fund administrators, custodians, loan agents and internal stakeholders, the Analyst helps ensure investment activity is accurately recorded, appropriately controlled and administered in accordance with investment agreements, internal policies and established procedures. The role also supports operational due diligence, onboarding, automation, system enhancements and process improvements that strengthen scalability and efficiency.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

·    Maintaining the operational book of record for private market and externally managed investments by processing transactions, settlements, valuations, positions and cash flows accurately and on time using approved procedures, templates and checklists.

·    Supporting the administration of private loans, leveraged facilities, fund investments, co-investments and SMAs, including fundings, drawdowns, repayments, restructurings, amendments, prepayments, interest collections and other lifecycle events.

·    Coordinating and recording capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions, repayments and other funding activities, and confirm that activity is accurately reflected across operational, accounting and reporting systems.

·    Reviewing and validating information received from loan agents, external managers, fund administrators, custodians and service providers; perform first-level completeness and reasonableness checks and investigate routine exceptions.

·    Processing and reconciling management fees, performance fees, interest accruals, operating expenses and other investment-related charges, escalating discrepancies or unsupported items.

·    Supporting valuation oversight, cash and liquidity monitoring, exposure and income reporting, operational due diligence, investment onboarding, documentation management and key covenant or lifecycle-event tracking.

·    Executing reconciliations and operational controls over transactions, cash movements, positions, valuations and fees; maintain procedures, workpapers, issue logs and audit-ready control evidence.

·    Using approved technology, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, data quality and process consistency while meeting control, privacy and confidentiality requirements.

·    Supporting testing, implementation and validation of workflows, controls, templates, reporting and system enhancements in eFront, Aladdin and related investment or operational platforms.

As a member of this team, you will be expected to:

·    Develop practical knowledge of private credit, leveraged finance, fund investments, hedge funds, co-investments, SMAs, investment systems and operational controls.

·    Build effective working relationships with investment teams, external managers, administrators, custodians, loan agents, counterparties, service providers and auditors.

·    Manage assigned priorities, communicate status, blockers and deadline conflicts clearly, and escalate operational risks, exceptions and control concerns promptly.

·    Seek feedback, incorporate review comments, support team coverage, and contribute to process improvement, automation and operational transformation initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of private credit, leveraged finance, fund investments, hedge funds, co-investments, SMAs or other alternative investment structures.
  • Experience supporting settlements, funding activities, reconciliations, valuations, fee administration, reporting, investment accounting processes or operational controls.
  • Curiosity and commitment to building strong technical knowledge of private investment operations.

2. Investment Systems, Technology & Data Tools

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with investment accounting, portfolio management or operational platforms.
  • Experience with Aladdin, eFront, Bloomberg, WSO, Geneva, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, SQL, Python or similar tools is an asset.
