ABOUT THE ROLE


We're on the hunt for an innovative Podcast Content Producer to join Cricket Australia's digital content team on a four-month fixed term contract and help engage fans across the country through our suite of platforms and social media channels.

Reporting to the Digital Content Producer & Podcast Lead, you'll play a key role in producing, publishing and promoting compelling podcast and digital content across Cricket Australia's podcast network. Your work will help drive audience growth, deepen engagement and strengthen the connection between fans and Australian cricket through high-quality, multimedia storytelling.


You'll be responsible for:

  • Producing and managing podcast programming across Cricket Australia’s Digital Podcast Network, including The Unplayable Podcast, The Surge, The Scoop, and The Diary Room.
  • Coordinating the end-to-end production, publication and distribution of video-first podcast content across YouTube, podcast platforms and Cricket Australia's owned digital channels, including cricket.com.au, the Cricket Australia Live App and the Big Bash App.
  • Coordinating episode planning and research, developing run sheets, briefing materials and content direction to support hosts, talent and production teams.
  • Managing recording schedules, guest and talent bookings, and relationships with recording studios and production partners to ensure the successful delivery of podcast content.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • 2+ years' experience in podcast, digital content, media or sports production, with experience producing content from concept through to publication.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders, talent, production schedules and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, supported by strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong editorial judgement and storytelling skills, with the ability to identify compelling content opportunities and shape engaging conversations.
  • Proficiency in video editing and content creation tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop, with experience creating thumbnails and other digital assets.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube, podcast and digital content best practice, including content distribution, audience growth and platform optimisation.
  • Experience analysing content performance and audience insights to inform content strategy and maximise audience engagement and growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of, and passion for, cricket and the Australian sporting landscape, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends if required.
