Description
We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Construction Lead Mechanic to join our Commercial Team. This role is hands-on and requires strong technical skills to install, troubleshoot, and complete heating, cooling, and ventilation systems – including but not limited to heat pumps, gas furnaces, chillers, rooftop package units, Daikin VRV, Mitsubishi VRF systems, VAV boxes, and kitchen hoods.
Hourly wage $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience
What You’ll Do
As an HVAC Construction Lead Mechanic, you’ll take ownership of installation projects and help guide junior team members. Responsibilities include:
-Install mechanical and electrical equipment for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
-Maintain the highest safety standards on job sites.
-Meet company productivity goals while ensuring top-quality workmanship.
-Think creatively to improve service and customer experience.
-Manage truck inventory, tools, and equipment; keep workspaces organized.
-Collaborate with other trades, field support, and office staff to ensure seamless job completion.
-Mentor, train, and supervise junior mechanics and helpers.
-Participate in pre-job, progress, and post-job meetings.
-Perform inspections, coordinate with inspectors, and resolve issues promptly.
-Maintain accountability for work performed and foster team productivity.
Job Requirements:

-Be highly organized with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment background check.
-Have a working knowledge of electrical, architectural, and plumbing systems.
-Participate in on-the-job and classroom training for ongoing professional development.
