Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Analyst to provide Level 2 production and application support for business-critical systems within a Capital Markets environment.

The successful candidate will monitor application health, investigate production incidents and work closely with technology, business and operations teams to maintain the availability, stability and performance of applications supporting front-office trading activities.

What we need your help with

Production & Application Support

• Provide Level 2 production support for business-critical Capital Markets applications.
• Monitor application availability, system performance, batch processes and production alerts.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service interruptions and application-performance issues.
• Respond to user inquiries and provide timely technical and functional support.
• Escalate complex issues to development, infrastructure or vendor teams when required.

Incident Management & Problem Resolution

• Manage incidents throughout their lifecycle, from initial investigation through resolution and closure.
• Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to permanent corrective and preventive solutions.
• Use Unix/Linux and SQL to analyze application behaviour, logs, data and system issues.
• Document known errors, workarounds, support procedures and troubleshooting steps.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to application stability and support processes.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

• Collaborate with front-office users, business analysts, developers, infrastructure teams and operations partners.
• Support application releases, production implementations and post-deployment validation.
• Participate in change-management, problem-management and release-readiness activities.
• Prepare incident updates, operational reports and stakeholder communications.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring, automation and production-support practices.

What we are looking for

• Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience providing Level 2 production or application support.
• Professional experience supporting applications within a Capital Markets environment.
• Experience with Equity Derivatives, Front-Office Trading, Risk Analytics or Trade Execution systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and SQL.
• Solid knowledge of incident management, problem management and root-cause analysis.
• Experience investigating production issues using application logs, monitoring tools and data analysis.
• Understanding of application releases, change-management processes and production controls.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive production incidents.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working within regulated financial-services environments is strongly preferred.
