Marketing Executive

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Executive to support the delivery of marketing activities across both organic and paid channels.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys creating engaging content, managing social media activity and supporting marketing campaigns, while also building relationships with clients and representing the business at meetings, networking opportunities and events.

The successful candidate will be confident working across multiple projects, communicating with clients and ensuring marketing activity is delivered professionally, effectively and in line with agreed objectives.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote working with on-site attendance, client meetings and events as required.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and Marketing Delivery

• Create engaging marketing content and promotional materials for organic and paid channels.
• Plan, schedule and publish social media content, ensuring activity is consistent and aligned with the brand.
• Support the delivery and optimisation of marketing campaigns across relevant platforms.
• Monitor campaign performance, produce basic reports and identify opportunities for improvement in line with agreed KPIs.
• Contribute creative ideas to support brand awareness, audience engagement and wider marketing objectives.

Client Liaison and Account Support

• Liaise directly with clients to understand their requirements, gather information and manage feedback.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to ensure projects progress effectively.
• Attend client meetings, networking opportunities and sales meetings as required.
• Support the coordination and delivery of marketing activity in line with client expectations and agreed deadlines.

Events and Brand Representation

• Attend networking events, business functions and other relevant events to promote and represent the company.
• Act as a professional ambassador for the brand when interacting with clients, partners and prospective customers.
• Participate in marketing shoots and promotional activities, including appearing in marketing materials where required.

Teamwork and Ways of Working

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the delivery of marketing plans and business objectives.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, maintaining a high standard of work.
• Work flexibly within a hybrid arrangement, attending on-site meetings, activities and events when required.
• Attend regular company meetings and events, providing appropriate notice to the line manager if unable to attend, except in emergencies.

Essential Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate:

• Essential knowledge of Instagram and LinkedIn, including an understanding of how each platform can be used effectively for marketing.
• Proven practical experience of posting content on Instagram and LinkedIn, including creating, scheduling and publishing posts.
• Experience creating marketing content and materials across organic and paid channels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in a client-facing environment.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, creative and professional approach to marketing delivery.
• Confidence representing a business in client meetings, networking environments, at events and during marketing shoots.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Driver and access to own vehicle

Working Hours and Flexibility

• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Location : Sheffield S1
• Hybrid working, with a combination of remote and on-site attendance.
• Some early mornings and evenings will be required to accommodate networking events, client meetings and other business activities. These will form part of the role's working commitments.
• Use of own vehicle to sites and client petrol allowance

Candidates must be comfortable with the flexibility required to attend relevant meetings and events outside standard office hours when necessary.

Performance and Development

Key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets will be established and reviewed through regular performance review meetings. These will help monitor progress, assess performance and support ongoing development and progression within the role.

Recruitment Process

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical marketing task and deliver a short presentation outlining their work.

Both the task and presentation must be completed successfully before an offer of employment can be made.
