Marketing Communications Intern

We are Skytree

Skytree enables a transition to a world with cleaner Air for everyone. We do this by developing and deploying smart technology that captures atmospheric carbon dioxide, enabling its use or storage to combat climate change and aid society and businesses around the world.

Born out of the European Space Agency (ESA), we are a global team of highly talented scientists, engineers and business professionals, supported by an experienced management team. Our working culture is based on a dynamic and smart approach to business with an open and understanding attitude to others and a desire to expand the boundaries of what is possible.

As we enter a new phase of growth, we’re excited to welcome a Marketing Communications Intern to learn, develop and grow, and go on this journey with us!

Your role

As a Marketing Communications Intern, you will join our Marketing team and gain hands-on experience across the full marketing mix: PR, content, design, and events. You will help us tell the Skytree story in a way that engages our target audience, while learning how marketing works inside a fast-paced, mission-driven climate tech company.

This internship is ideal for someone who loves creating content and thinks creatively. Blogs, press releases, LinkedIn posts, banners, photos, videos: if you enjoy turning an idea into something people actually want to read or watch, you will feel at home here. No two weeks look the same. One week you might be organizing a webinar, the next you are behind the camera at an event or designing visuals for a campaign or organizing a speaking event.

We are looking for a self-starter that is comfortable working autonomously, and just as happy collaborating in a team.

NOTE:

• Internship duration is 5-6 months, on full-time basis (40 hours /week).

• The start date is as soon as possible.

• This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Please ensure that you meet the legal requirements to undertake an internship in The Netherlands.

• You must be based in The Netherlands, ideally near Amsterdam.

• We offer a monthly internship allowance, lunch allowance, and transportation allowance. However, accommodation is not provided.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be learning and supporting:

• Learning how to create content across formats: writing blog posts, press releases and LinkedIn posts, and the visual assets that go with them.

• Gaining hands-on experience in the creation of social visuals and campaign graphics, as well as video creation and other design tasks.

• Learning how to support internal communications where needed (such as announcements).

• Building practical experience in capturing content (such as photos and videos) at events, in the office and on site, and turning them into content people want to share.

• Understanding the workflow behind managing an event and speaker calendar, and learning how to actively research new events where Skytree should be present to reach our customer segments.
