Mobile Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Mobile Test Automation Engineer to join our partner's team and contribute to ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications on Android and/or iOS.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and reusable test components.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, regressions, and potential issues.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure application quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Maintain and improve the stability, reliability, and execution speed of automated test suites.
• Work with mobile emulators, simulators, and real devices to validate application behavior across different environments.
• Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and test strategy discussions.
• Contribute to improving testing processes, automation coverage, and QA best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing, with a strong focus on mobile test automation.
• Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Good programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience testing native, hybrid, and/or cross-platform mobile applications.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated test execution pipelines.
• Experience working with Android emulators, iOS simulators, and real mobile devices.
• Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Fluency in German is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Experience with performance, compatibility, and cross-device testing.
• Knowledge of mobile application architecture and the mobile release lifecycle.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
