Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Loss Prevention Patrol in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor customer and visitor activity while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence that helps support a premium retail environment.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
