Description
Are you a structured problem solver who enjoys working with details and making things run smoothly?
We are looking for an Operations Specialist to join our Nordic Underwriting Operations team in Oslo for a 7-month temporary assignment.
This is a hands-on operational role where you will support our Accident & Health (A&H) business through policy administration, data processing, invoicing, and day-to-day operational support. Success in this role requires a structured mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems and processes independently.
While you will be part of our wider Operations team, your primary focus will be supporting our A&H product line. You will work closely with Underwriters, global support teams, and insurance brokers, helping ensure our operations run efficiently and accurately.
What's in it for you?
You will join a successful Nordic Operations team of 10 colleagues spread across the region. We prioritize collaboration, quality, and supporting one another to succeed. Here's what you can expect:
A Fast-Paced Operational Environment
You'll play an important role in ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with multiple tasks, managing deadlines, and finding practical solutions to operational challenges.
One Nordic Team
Your base is in Oslo, but your everyday work is Nordic. We collaborate across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, giving you exposure to a broader business environment and a strong professional network.
Solid Benefits
A competitive compensation package, including an excellent occupational pension, comprehensive health insurance, and a flexible hybrid working model.
Your impact and responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will require accuracy, initiative, and strong organizational skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Policy Administration: Processing policy transactions, maintaining accurate records, and performing data entry across multiple internal systems.
- Operational Processing: Managing routine operational tasks while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Invoicing Support: Supporting premium invoicing and related administrative activities.
- Frontline Communication: Handling inquiries and maintaining regular communication with internal stakeholders, brokers, and support teams via email and phone.
- Issue Resolution: Investigating and resolving operational discrepancies, exceptions, and process-related questions.
- Underwriting Support: Assisting Underwriters with administrative and operational tasks to ensure efficient workflows.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to simplify and improve existing ways of working.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone who is curious, reliable, and enjoys solving practical problems. You are likely a good match if you:
- Have some experience from an administrative, operational, customer service, or support role.
- Are comfortable working in different IT systems and enjoy learning new tools and processes.
- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Enjoy investigating issues and finding practical solutions independently.
- Take ownership of your tasks and can manage your workload with limited supervision.
- Are fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- Enjoy collaborating with colleagues and building relationships across teams.
Experience from insurance, banking, finance, or another regulated industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. Recent graduates with strong administrative skills and a proactive mindset are also encouraged to apply.
Meet the Team
You will be based in our Oslo office and become part of a highly integrated Nordic Underwriting Operations team. We are approximately 10 colleagues across the Nordic region, working together to deliver high-quality operational support to our underwriting teams and business partners.
We value teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and a willingness to help one another succeed.
How to apply
Forget the lengthy cover letter. Send us your CV and include a short summary explaining your motivation and why you believe you are a good fit for the role.
We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Applications are welcome in either a Scandinavian language or English.
