Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Laboratory (MLT) to join our Clinical Laboratory team. This full-time day shift position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment where laboratory professionals play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will performs laboratory tests; interprets test results; documents and reports test results; maintains equipment, instruments, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory data and test results.
• Accurately document and report test findings.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Follow quality assurance, quality control, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Associates degree
• Certificate

Certification/Licensure

• ASCP or AMT certification
• ASCP or AMT certification eligible

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $28.70 - $43.17 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
