Operations Supervisor - [Chesterfield] - Wolseley Group

So, who are we?

We are Fusion Utilities, part of the Wolseley Group, a leading specialist trade merchant across the UK and Ireland. We pride ourselves on putting our people and customers at the heart of everything we do and, best of all, providing opportunities to develop skills and build careers through our award-winning Wolseley Talent Guild.

Also, did we mention?

In addition to a competitive salary, there are also benefits on tap, including annual leave (increasing with length of service), a generous pension scheme (matched up to 9%), bonus opportunity, enhanced family leave and access to a range of online and high street discounts. We also promote positive health and wellbeing through free healthcare support, our YuLife app, Cycle to Work scheme and much more.

As an Operations Supervisor based in our Fulfilment centre (H29) in Chesterfield, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of colleagues to deliver a high-performing, engaged and accountable working culture.
  • Managing daily warehouse and fulfilment operations, ensuring workloads are planned effectively and service levels are consistently achieved.
  • Driving compliance, health & safety standards and operational checks across the site.
  • Monitoring and improving KPIs across multiple customer streams, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Managing people processes including absence management, performance reviews, 1-2-1s and employee relations matters.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, operating on a rotating weekly shift pattern. Shift patterns will be discussed in the interview.

And here's what we'd like you to have:

  • Previous experience in a Supervisor, Team Leader or Operations Management role within a warehouse, logistics or fulfilment environment.
  • Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead from the front and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters, absence management, performance conversations and colleague development.
  • A proactive and resilient approach with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for driving operational excellence, safety standards and continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to help to strengthen operational performance, raise standards and support the continued growth of the operation.

We look forward to receiving your application!
