The Position: Reporting to the Global VP of Finance in the USA, as part of the Global Finaince team for Hexagon Mining, this position is a key business partner within our Mining APAC region. Your role will support our Mining business by driving financial performance and providing analytical and strategic insights to deliver to business objectives.
In addition to day-to-day operational support, you will partner with global cross-functional teams in establishing compliance and governance requirements in region whilst being a trusted advisor to our Mining, Finance and Commercial leadership across activities inclusive but not limited to financial performance analysis, growth revenues strategy management, financial risk assessment and risk mitigation planning.
Responsibilities include the following, not limited to;
- Collaborate with Mining SVP APAC and VP Finance, Commercial and Sales teams to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with Strategy.
- Support the bi-annual MTFP strategy process and quarterly business review process.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance on business strategies.
- Conduct risk assessment and management activities, identifying potential financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance against budget and forecast produced from multiple data sets
This is not a traditional, backward-looking accounting role, you are there to consult on future demands where you will be taking complex data from multiple, diverse streams to actively shape our future revenue strategy, pricing models, and market positioning
About you
We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner who has built their success within their career in commercial, business analysis or finance related career pathway. In a highly visible role, your commercial & financial aptitude combined with analytical data fluency, will see you have opportunity to drive influence and make an impact in supporting our senior leaderships growth strategy.
In addition, we are seeking those with the following skills or attributes.
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or STEM field, CPA / CMA or MBA or similar preferred.
- Prior experience in role that is broad cross both analysis reporting and consultative direction within a commercial environment
- Prior Experience in partnering with executive leadership across financial business planning and reporting requirements
- Strong Analytical Skills, with ability to extract varied data from multiple complex streams, desired would-be financial modelling skills
- Relationship Building: Ability to build cohesive working relation locally and globally across multi-level stakeholders
- Business Acumen: Ability to make informed decisions in driving profitability
- Strategic Vision: Ability to envisage future landscape and communicate a clear vision within growth and transformation
- Ability to working with agility and adaptability across both global and local business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
