Your Role
The Senior Director, International Fulfillment based in Zurich, Switzerland will lead Baxter’s fulfillment organization across International Markets CEEMEA, LATAM, ANZ and Greater Asia and serves as the key integrator of end-to-end supply chain execution. As a member of the International ISC Leadership Team, this leader partners across Commercial, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Digital to deliver profitable growth, customer service excellence, and operational performance.
This role oversees global fulfillment operations, including distribution, logistics, transportation, import/export, deployment, customer service, and third-party logistics, while ensuring alignment across the broader supply chain. The leader will drive fulfillment strategy, strengthen supply chain resilience, accelerate digital transformation, and build scalable capabilities that support business growth across diverse international markets.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the International Fulfillment strategy for Growth & Emerging Markets, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and regional commercial priorities. Serve as the primary supply chain partner to the President of Growth & Emerging Markets to support market expansion, customer growth, and long-term business profitability. Shape the fulfillment operating model to deliver scalable, agile, and resilient capabilities across diverse international markets.
- Fulfillment Leadership: Provide executive leadership for Distribution Operations, Warehousing, Transportation, Import & Export Operations, Regional Deployment, Third-Party Logistics, Logistics Network Performance. Ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective, and customer-focused operations while delivering industry-leading service performance.
- End-to-End Supply Chain Integration: Coordinate end-to-end execution across Commercial, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, and Logistics. Lead cross-functional governance to ensure decisions optimize the entire value chain rather than individual functional objectives. Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP), supply reviews, executive S&OP, and business continuity processes that improve alignment, transparency, and decision-making.
- Commercial Enablement: Partner with regional commercial organizations to ensure supply chain capabilities support for Market expansion, new product launches, Channel optimization, Customer segmentation, Revenue growth, Service differentiation.
- Transformation Lead strategic initiatives that modernize fulfillment capabilities through Digital Supply Chain, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Advanced Analytics, Network Optimization, Lean / Operational Excellence, Standardized Global Processes, Drive simplification and continuous improvement while building future-ready supply chain capabilities.
- Resilience: Develop proactive strategies to mitigate geopolitical, regulatory, supplier, transportation, and market risks. Lead enterprise response teams during major supply disruptions while ensuring business continuity and uninterrupted customer supply.
- Financial & Operational Leadership: Own fulfillment financial performance, including logistics, transportation, warehousing, and third-party operations. Drive productivity, cost optimization, inventory efficiency, and working capital improvements while maintaining industry-leading customer service.
- Talent & Organizational Leadership: Build a high-performing international fulfillment organization capable of supporting accelerated growth across emerging markets. Develop leadership capability, succession pipelines, and a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, distribution, and operations leadership experience, including significant international responsibility.
- 8+ years of leadership experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams across multiple regions and cultures.
- Proven experience leading complex international fulfillment, logistics, distribution, transportation, import/export, and third-party logistics operations.
- Demonstrated accountability for customer service, logistics performance, inventory management, operational excellence, and financial results within a global supply chain environment.
- Experience partnering with senior commercial, manufacturing, finance, planning, procurement, quality, regulatory, and digital leaders to drive business performance and customer outcomes.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives involving digital supply chain, automation, analytics, process standardization, and organizational change.
- Experience managing supply chain risk, business continuity planning, and complex operational disruptions across global markets.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing operating budgets, logistics spend, inventory optimization, productivity programs, and working capital improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, master's in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline).
- Experience within healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting international growth markets, including CEEMEA, LATAM, Greater Asia, and/or ANZ regions.
- Knowledge of international trade compliance, customs regulations, import/export controls, and global transportation networks.
- Certification(s) such as APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent.
Travel
- Ability to travel internationally approximately 25-40% as business needs require.
