The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Simulation Integration Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join our team in Long Beach, California. 

 

The individual selected will develop, document and maintain hardware and simulation software, algorithms, interfaces, and test plans based upon defined requirements.

 

In this role you will develop and maintain code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system and perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements. 

 

We are looking for someone that is a proactive self‑starter who communicates effectively, works well in a team environment, and is eager to learn and apply best practices in simulation, integration, and verification.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to Southern California Aeronautical System Integration & Test (ASIT) program deliverables for multiple airplane programs. The scope of responsibility includes simulation system design, integration and sustaining support of System Integration Labs (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulators (HILS), and Flight Management System (FMS) Labs. A strong background in software systems, networks, debugging, and electrical engineering is preferred.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including a Experienced and Senior level Simulation Integration Engineer.

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic, electrical system, and I/O requirements on complex multi-tiered projects
• Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
• Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met
• Works with others to develop program test strategies
• Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
• Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership
• Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
• Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs
• Makes recommendations for technology investments
• Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5+ years of experience in software systems engineering, systems architecture, or embedded software development
• 3+ years of experience with agile project/program and software product release management?
• 1+ years of experience as an Agile software development team lead
• 1+ years of experience developing presentations and briefing customers
• Experience leading major milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
• Experience in software test procedure development, test execution, and test reporting

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced degree in systems, software engineering, or computer engineering
• Demonstrated innovation in test bench architecture solutions

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range:

Level 3: $111,350-$150,650

Level 4: $135,150-$182,850
