Department: Young Hearts Preschools
Location: Great Hearts Cicero (7205 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85258)
Reports To: School Director of Young Hearts Preschool
Compensation Amount: $17-18 / hour
Position Summary: The Lead Teacher at Young Hearts Preschool will report to the School Director. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for all students assigned to them in the areas of education, supervision, assessment, and parent communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow quality assurance measures to maintain excellence of program offerings, operations, and state licensure.
Work to achieve and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
Maintain regular communications with School Director, Assistant Director, and parents of enrolled students.
Escalate incident reports to the School Director.
Partner to maintain a safe environment.
Adhere to Great Hearts/Young Hearts policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
Attend monthly meetings.
Utilize The Creative Curriculum and Gold Strategies to execute lessons and assessments.
Hold parent teacher conferences twice a year
Cultivate and maintain relationships with students, parents, and academy administration.
Additional duties and projects assigned.
Required/Preferred Education: CDA, associate's degree or higher preferred
Required/Preferred Experience: 1-2 years' experience working in a licensed preschool program.

Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot with little direction.
Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills.
Physical Functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 40 pounds approximately.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
