About the Role
As a Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert, you will leverage your cheminformatics expertise and technical skills to evaluate, monitor, and continuously improve the quality of large-scale chemistry datasets.
You will design automated quality controls, develop scalable validation workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize AI-driven content enrichment processes. Your work will directly influence the quality, scalability, and scientific value of our chemistry data assets, supporting researchers and innovators around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large chemistry datasets to identify quality issues and opportunities for improving data extraction, enrichment, and structure.
- Develop automated workflows, validation processes, and quality checks to monitor chemistry-related content.
- Design and implement scalable solutions that improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Data Science, Product, and Technology teams to enhance enrichment workflows and content quality.
- Investigate data trends and quality risks, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support the evaluation and optimization of AI-driven content extraction and enrichment pipelines.
- Contribute scientific and technical expertise to strategic data quality initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with large-scale chemistry datasets.
- Strong knowledge of cheminformatics methods and their application to data quality assessment and improvement.
- Experience with chemistry or life science information databases.
- Hands-on experience building automated workflows and content validation processes using Python, KNIME, or similar tools.
- Experience with chemistry data standardization, curation, and enrichment workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across scientific and technical teams.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with Data Science, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with chemical structure and reaction databases.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications for scientific content processing.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments.
- Familiarity with scientific publishing, information solutions, or research workflows.

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Germany - Frankfurt (Baseler Platz) €62,200 - €103,500. If performed in NLD Amsterdam (Radarweg), the base pay range is €59,300 - €98,800. This job may be subject to a collective labor agreement in the Netherlands.
