Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician (AISLE) to join the Omaha, NE team!

The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 - $29.52 per hour.

Shift: 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday

## Position Overview:

The Assembly Technician III (Aisle Team) works as part of a team of advanced assemblers to review and interpret diagrams/schematics to install various components and electrical gear into the metal power substation buildings. Electrical components would include items like, AC panels, DC panels, battery disconnects, light switches and power outlets which will help power the building and meet state codes. Individuals will assist in pulling and terminating wires, preparing and fabricating conduit as needed and assisting in the overall assembly process of the substation building.

Position does not apply to any electrical apprentice programs.

In this function you will:

  • Reference and interpret schematics to install electrical components into the metal structure of the substation building
  • Use power tools including drills, hand tools, measuring tape, and pipe bending/cutting tools as needed
  • Run and terminate wires to various electrical components (AC/DC panels, disconnects, and terminal blocks)
  • Various operations may require lifting, overhead work, and working from a ladder
  • Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments and development needs
  • Focus on safety, customer service, quality, productivity
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required, including weekends
  • Focus on quality, customer service, safety, productivity.

## Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Omaha, NE location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years experience installing and connecting electrical wires
  • 1 or more years experience working with and deciphering schematics
  • 1 or more years experience working with precision measuring devices (tape measure)
  • 1 or more years experience working with Hand Tools/ power Tools, (DRILLS, impact, hydraulic punches, Pipe bender/threader)

## Position Criteria:

  • Ability to read a tape measure down to the 1/8th
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent history of work performance, teamwork and attendance

Not an entry level position – MFG experience is required.
