Job Summary

 

Georgia Power is seeking an Assistant Storekeeper I to support warehouse and materials operations. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with 0–5 years of experience who are interested in inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will assist with inventory control, material handling, shipping and receiving, customer support, and warehouse documentation while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·       Assist with inventory management, material handling, and warehouse operations.

·       Process material orders, shipments, and deliveries.

·       Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation.

·       Support shipping, receiving, and materials logistics activities.

·       Prepare shipping and delivery paperwork.

·       Assist customers by responding to material inquiries and tracking orders.

·       Perform inventory counts and quality control checks.

·       Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams.

·       Operate warehouse equipment safely while following company safety procedures.

·       Lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

 

Required Qualifications

·       High School Diploma or equivalent.

·       0–5 years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or materials management experience.

·       Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.

·       Strong organizational and communication skills.

·       Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Certified Forklift Operator.

·       Experience with warehouse inventory systems.

·       Previous experience in utility, warehouse, or distribution environments.
