What you get to do:

You will help lead and inspire the Food & Beverage team to deliver great guest experiences from the get-go. You will model and perform the highest standards of service as you foster a positive atmosphere for everyone you come into contact with. You will:

• Supervise, train, and counsel Food & Beverage Ambassadors assigned to areas of responsibility, through assessing, hands on training, coaching, and mentoring performance
• Provide leadership, accountability, and coaching to Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, and Interns to create a shared understanding of goals and expectations
• Develop and maintain high levels of guest service, and guide an empowered team to deliver prompt, courteous, and helpful guest interactions
• Lead and deliver a memorable and consistent Food & Beverage experience through consistent food appearance, portioning, temperature, and flavor
• Plan, assign, and direct work  to ensure compliance with food quality, guest service, Ambassador and guest safety, and facility integrity and sanitation
• Responsibly manage P&L to include responsibility for controllable costs (labor, expenses, and food costs)
• Lead periodic renovations and capital projects within areas of responsibility, in coordination with park and corporate leadership, to support incremental revenue growth, new revenue initiatives, and improved venue performance
• Contact maintenance as necessary to maintain proper operation of all equipment
• Ensure excellent guest service by responding to guest requirements, expectations and needs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including maintaining current ServSafe Manager certification, and serving as Virginia ABC Manager
• In addition to core area of responsibility, assist department leadership with planning, directing, and organizational needs related to festivals and special events
• Respond to guest and team member needs
• Assists leadership with employees scheduling, training, food ordering and equipment

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age
• At least 1 year of experience in the food and beverage industry or similar high volume leadership capacity
• Able to lead and develop ambassadors and Supervisors in daily job task
• A role model for SEA safety, guest service, attendance, cleanliness and wardrobe standards
• Able to work with and lead ambassadors in areas that sell and serve alcohol.
• A valid Driver’s license and ability to meet company driving guidelines preferred
• Able to complete a Food Safety Manager certification and pass the exam
• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout work shift
• Frequent bending from waist to floor, kneeling, squatting, simple hand grasping work and fine hand manipulation (computer work/typing, writing).
• Occasional overhead reaching and climbing stairs and ladders
• Work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions
• Perform all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Able to work a flexible schedule (Includes: Weekends, holidays, catering events and evening hours)
