Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is looking for you to join our team as an Production Controller based out of Sykesville, Maryland. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Power/Control Systems business unit within the Naval & Marine Systems Division.

What You'll Get To Do:

• Timely movement of hardware between work cells and induction of field hardware by capturing condition status and updating the system of record.
• Utilize SAP and other internal tracking systems to manage all production and repair orders that support Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Collaborate with multiple organizations to ensure daily priorities support weekly/monthly sales plan; including Supervisors, Engineering, Operations, Program management, Technicians, Operators, Mission Assurance, and Stockroom personnel ensuring that the daily priorities support weekly/monthly sales plan.
• Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments and or work cells.
• Assist in determining shortages and initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
• Use knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert leadership regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.

Basic Qualifications for the Production Controller:

• HS diploma plus 4 years of additional education and/or Manufacturing or Supply Chain or related experience
• Microsoft Office experience, including Excel
• Experience in continuous process improvement
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security clearance
• U.S Citizenship is required.

Physical Requirements for the Production Controller:

• Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 40 pounds in order to move stock/inventory/materials around the manufacturing floor and various business units

Preferred Qualifications for the Production Controller:

• Bachelors with 3 years of manufacturing experience or production control experience
• SAP or similar ERP software experience
• Manufacturing work flow and MRP systems experience or similar
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Active Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $47,248.00 - $107,823.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
