PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION: 

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading purchasing, planning, inventory management, supplier performance, and material availability for Libra Industries' Dayton operation. This role ensures uninterrupted material flow to support customer demand while driving inventory optimization, supplier accountability, cost reduction, and on-time delivery performance.

The Supply Chain Manager partners closely with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support business objectives and customer commitments. This position is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that improve operational performance, strengthen supplier relationships, mitigate risk, and support the continued growth of the Dayton facility.

The Supply Chain Manager will lead and develop supply chain personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

· Lead the Dayton purchasing, planning, and materials functions to ensure uninterrupted material flow and production continuity.

· Drive material availability and shortage management activities while proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.

· Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary escalation point for supplier performance issues related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.

· Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory turns while maintaining customer delivery commitments.

· Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support customer demand, new product introductions, and production ramp activities.

· Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve results.

· Develop supplier scorecards and conduct regular supplier performance reviews.

· Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and support supplier consolidation efforts in partnership with Corporate Supply Chain.

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improved service levels.

· Utilize ERP/MRP systems to improve planning accuracy, purchasing effectiveness, and inventory visibility.

· Develop and maintain supply chain processes, policies, and best practices to support operational excellence.

· Identify opportunities to reduce material costs, improve supplier performance, and increase operational efficiency.

· Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve material shortages, supply disruptions, and customer delivery challenges.

· Prepare and present reports on inventory performance, supplier performance, cost savings initiatives, and supply chain risks.

· Coach, mentor, and develop supply chain team members.

· Establish departmental goals and ensure alignment with company objectives.

· Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer service throughout the supply chain organization.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

· 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, materials management, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.

· 3 years previous leadership experience managing buyers, planners, schedulers, materials personnel, or supply chain teams.

· Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, procurement, supplier management, forecasting, and demand planning processes.

· Demonstrated success leading supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and inventory optimization efforts.

· Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Experience within EMS, electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

· APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility.

· Ability to sit, stand, and move between office and production environments throughout the workday.

· Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· This position works in both office and manufacturing environments.

· The employee will be exposed to manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, and material handling vehicles while on the production floor.

· Appropriate PPE is required when working in manufacturing areas.
