Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a QHSE Manager to join our client's team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, monitoring operational standards, conducting audits, and promoting a strong safety culture.
The QHSE Manager will work closely with operational teams and management to integrate quality, safety, health, and environmental objectives into daily activities and project execution. The successful candidate will also lead investigations, prepare performance reports, deliver training, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies and procedures in line with ISO, IMO, SOLAS, and applicable local regulations.
- Monitor operations to ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare QHSE reports.
- Deliver QHSE training and promote continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QHSE management, preferably within maritime, shipbuilding, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of international quality, safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
