Support older people to live independently - across two welcoming extra care schemes in Wythenshawe
Pay: £13.45 per hour Shifts: Earlies, lates and potential nights (mixture across a rota) Contract: Full-time, permanent Location: Westfields (Baguley) and Shore Green (Newall Green) - both M23, no travelling between calls

Where You'll Work
This role is based across two extra care schemes in Wythenshawe, both within M23 - so there's no travelling between calls. You'll get to know the people you support well, becoming a familiar and trusted face.
Westfields (Hall Lane, Baguley) is a purpose-built extra care scheme offering 49 flats for people aged 60 and over. Residents live independently in their own homes with on-site care available around the clock.
Shore Green (Kennet Road, Newall Green) is a specialist extra care scheme supporting older people living with memory loss and dementia.

- £13.45 per hour
- Mixture of early shifts, late shifts and potential nights

What You'll Be Doing
In both schemes, the people you support live in their own homes. Your role is to provide the personal care, practical support and human connection that helps them stay independent and live well.
You will:
- Provide dignified personal care that respects privacy and choice
- Promote independence and confidence using enabling approaches
- Deliver personalised support based on individual needs, choices and preferences
- Support people living with dementia and memory loss with patience, warmth and consistency
- Communicate clearly, recording and sharing information with the right people at the right time
- Help people feel safe, connected and at home in their own space
Induction Training
You'll receive comprehensive paid induction training, including:
- Be Caring values and going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes
- Dignity and respect, safeguarding, and equality and diversity
- Confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication
- Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
- Infection prevention and control, health and safety
- Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity
