Where You'll Work
Village 135 is an extra care scheme where older people live independently in their own flats - with the reassurance of a care team on-site around the clock.
As a night shift Care Assistant, you'll be based entirely on-site. There's no travelling between calls - just one building, a consistent group of people you'll get to know well, and the satisfaction of knowing they're safe because you're there.
Pay & Hours
- £13.45 per hour
- Night shift: 9:00pm – 8:00am

What You'll Be Doing
Extra care is different from traditional homecare. The people you support live in their own homes within the scheme, and your role overnight is to be there when they need you - providing planned care, responding to calls, and making sure everyone feels safe and settled through the night.
You will:
- Provide dignified personal care that respects privacy and choice
- Respond promptly and calmly to care calls throughout the night
- Promote independence and confidence through enabling approaches
- Deliver personalised support based on individual needs, choices and preferences
- Communicate clearly, recording and sharing information with the right people at the right time
- Support people to feel safe, comfortable and well in their own homes overnight
Induction Training
You'll receive comprehensive paid induction training, including:
- Be Caring values and going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes
- Dignity and respect, safeguarding, and equality and diversity
- Confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication
- Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
- Infection prevention and control, health and safety
- Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity
