We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our growing team.The PositionThe ideal candidate has at least three years of recent experience preparing individual and business tax returns. This position will primarily focus on tax preparation, with additional accounting and bookkeeping support as needed.We offer performance-based bonuses, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative team environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare federal and state tax returns for:IndividualsS corporationsC corporationsPartnershipsTrusts and estatesReview client documentation and identify missing or inconsistent informationAssist with tax research and respond to reviewer feedbackProvide accounting and bookkeeping support, including:Account reconciliationsGeneral ledger clean-upJournal entries and adjustmentsTransaction coding and data entryAccount allocationsCommunicate professionally with clients and team membersManage multiple assignments and meet tax-season deadlinesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related fieldAt least three years of recent tax preparation experienceExperience preparing individual and business tax returnsProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe AcrobatExperience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks DesktopExperience with professional tax preparation softwareStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and stay on task without direct oversightStrong time-management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlinesDependable, professional, and receptive to instruction and coachingPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in accounting or taxationCPA, Enrolled Agent, or current CPA/EA candidateExperience with Drake Tax SoftwareFiduciary tax return experienceWork LocationThis is an in-office position located in Scottsdale, Arizona, near Shea Boulevard and east of Loop 101.
