Job Description
Allied Universal® Technology Services is seeking a Project Superintendent-Telecom. The Project Superintendent will manage day-to-day operations of locating and inspection maintenance responsibilities on tollways. This also includes a strong commitment to fostering team collaboration, enforcing safety protocols, and upholding the company’s reputation for excellence in security technology services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, locators and inspection team in collaboration with the Service Manager and Program Manager to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to timelines
- Resolve contractor conflicts and coordinate activities within Tollway right-of-way (RoW) projects
- Oversee inspections of underground fiber optic backbone construction to ensure quality and compliance
- Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance related to underground construction and utility locating requirements
- Monitor and verify accurate daily A-36 utility locate updates in customer web-based systems
- Participate in pre-construction site walkthroughs and project planning meetings as needed
- Ensure locators and inspectors follow safety standards, quality expectations, and professional practices
- Maintain strong customer coordination and deliver a high level of client satisfaction throughout project execution
- Provide field support as needed, including utility locating coverage during absences, peak workloads, and other program requirements; perform additional duties to support project success
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience locating and underground system inspection experience
- Prior work experience monitoring jobsite general health and safety
- Ability to read and interpret Roadway and utility plans
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint
- Strong leadership, relationship-building, and customer service skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and presentation abilities
- Proven ability to prioritize work, manage multiple deadlines, make sound decisions, and ensure timely follow-through
- Commitment to safety, quality, professionalism, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented with the initiative to identify issues, resolve deficiencies, and drive results through completion
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Ability to manage a project scope of $1Million or larger
- Knowledge of managing RFIs or contract requirements
BENEFITS:
- Pay and Other: $60,000 - 70,000 annually + company vehicle and gas card

- Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
- Vacation time is offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
