We are seeking a talented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our global DevOps team, part of Marsh. This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
The DevOps team supports the build and deployment pipelines used by a wide range of applications across the organization. In this role, you will focus on onboarding and migrating applications to standardized CI/CD pipelines, maintaining pipeline configurations and resolving deployment-related issues. The position focuses on pipeline support rather than application development or coding.
We will count on you to:
Support the onboarding and migration of applications to standardized CI/CD pipelines.
Configure and maintain application pipelines and support automated build and deployment processes.
Support containerized application builds using Docker and deployments to Kubernetes environments.
Monitor incident and service-request queues and troubleshoot issues arising throughout the CI/CD process.
Collaborate with application and development teams to support efficient deployments and communicate progress or technical issues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of the team’s deployment tools, processes and procedures.
What you need to have:
Up to 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps, CI/CD, application support, cloud support, infrastructure support or a related technical area.
Practical knowledge of CI/CD concepts and initial hands-on experience with application build and deployment pipelines.
Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Linux environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, together with a good command of written and spoken English.
What makes you stand out:
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar technologies.
Previous exposure to onboarding or migrating applications between pipelines and using incident-management tools such as ServiceNow.
Basic scripting knowledge and experience working within a global or cross-functional technical team.
Experience with cloud native technologies, preferably AWS or Azure
Working knowledge of Groovy, PowerShell and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub
Good knowledge of NodeJS, Angular Builds, NPM, .Net and .Net Core
