Job Description:
- Responsible for creating and coordinating the US operational plan including brand, financial and people key activities in alignment with global and cross functional teams
- Coordinate the planning and execution of the key deliverables around budget, business reviews, and brand plans for the US and ensures communication and alignment across functions, and that goals and timelines are met
- Design and maintain performance management frameworks, ensuring clear KPIs, accountability, and visibility into business drivers
- Ensure clear communications and alignment around goals, expectations, vision, culture, and key elements of the US business strategy
- Lead and provide support to initiatives to drive efficiencies, simplification, skills building, continuous improvement, and special projects as needed
- Support and align data, definitions, KPIs, and analytics across all US functions to ensure consistency and seamless flow of data and reports across functions
- Design and maintain performance management frameworks, ensuring clear KPIs, accountability, and visibility into business drivers
- Lead the design and execution of US leadership dashboards and reports
- Provide forward looking insights on performance drivers, execution risks, and structural constraints impacting outcomes
- Lead the US forecasting process, coordinating input and activities across functions in the US and global
- Lead US business and brand analytics for in-line and launch products, focusing on actionable insights that drive decision-making
- Works closely with US marketing to execute US market research strategy, including primary and secondary data, to inform brand strategy and performance assessment
- Coordinate the execution of the US situational analysis and landscape assessment to inform and shape the business and brand strategy
- Work closely with US marketing in the development of product marketing strategies and tactics and interact with cross-functional team to provide support with insights and analyses needed to guide product positioning, messaging, marketing mix and investment
- Works closely with field leadership team to ensure alignment and analytical support as needed including around data sources, reports, KPIs, incentive plans, account planning, sizing and alignment
- Interface with global teams to provide US input and alignment into global plans, commercial development, pipeline, CI activities, global forecasting, etc.
- Lead and participate in highly visible, cross-functional initiatives
- Lead and develop high performing operations teams, set clear direction, ensures alignment, open and timely communication, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across functions
- Build trust and credibility with business partners through regular interaction that is evidenced by feedback and proven working partnerships.
- Has product expertise for all promoted products.
- Effective budget management and resource utilization.
Experience
• 7+ years of US Biotech/Pharma and/or consulting experience
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Finances, Economics, or Business; Graduate Degree or MBA preferred.
Skills/Specialist knowledge
- Significant Oncology, cellular therapy and/or rare disease experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Understands US sales and marketing ways of working, systems and trends
- Experience with field effectiveness and excellence
- Strong leadership skills and experience working with and managing cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate complex concepts successfully to lay audience
- Proven organizational skills with ability to problem solve and manage multiple urgent priorities in parallel
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to react to changing circumstances and priorities with high level of commitment and professionalism
- Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office, EDC systems, CTMS, etc.)
- Experience with health care secondary audit data applications, patient-level data applications, market research design and implementation, forecasting
- Successful experience managing and delivering on operational budget
- Strong collaborator with ability to communicate effectively, engage, inspire and lead without authority
- Ability to lead complex cross-functional projects and initiatives from conceptualization to execution, tracking and delivery
- Takes initiative and demonstrates agency, effective ownership and accountability
- Ability to develop business presentations and work with advanced powerpoint, excel, analytic software
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed (up to 30%)
